Thoughts on a shift knob for a short shifter?

So my friend recently got me the T1R short shifter as a gift, and I thought, "this sure is a good time to upgrade the shift boot and knob!"....and here's where the dilemma is :P.

So for the shift boot I don't have a whole lot of choice so I'll either be going with the blue or red stitched T1R shift boot, depending on the knob...which is what I can't decide on.

choice A: T1R T182R titanium shift knob

While it looks nice in itself, on a short shifter it looks kinda funny? Like it's a in a clam or something =p But I've heard that it's got a great feel to it?

choice B: Spoon Duracon shift knob

This one would probably look the best, but one of my friends was commenting how it's "old and not as good".

Anyone have some thoughts/experiences on either or both of these? Or maybe recommendations? I'd really consider the J's racing titanium shift knob, but I don't think I can justify spending 300 bucks on a shift knob for myself right now =p.

Thanks!

get the t1r shift boot in red and the skunk2 weighted shift knob. the shift pattern on the skunk2 knob is red so it will match the boot. the knob weighs about 440 grams. it helps make shifts smooth and easy. its only around 30 bucks too.

It's obviously personal preference and subject to $$ concerns, so it's kind of hard to give advise.

From my experience, I went through several knobs on my crx, and ended up at the duracon knob (have a C's short shifter in the car as well). I really like the feel of it, and looks damn good, too. Those larger ball-type knobs look odd on a short shaft like that one in the pic, IMHO.

As I said, though - shift knobs are such a subjective choice, it's hard to not say "try 'em and pick the one that you like best".
