Dealer damaged my 3 day old car
#43
On my Base GD3, the anchors were there when I bought it. Plastic, but if they ever do break, I've got the steel ones that came with my all-season mats.

I didn't do it myself because I paid so much more for them at the dealer than I would have from ordering them online (I didn't want to wait for shipping because Portland is so rainy) that I figured they should have to provide the service and save me the hassle. Clearly that backfired, but they should be able to install something that easy without a problem, it's their job.

I was just ribbing you. I would be pissed if I was in your position as well. But take pride in doing some things yourself. I know it seems easier to just drop it off and let them do it, but you get a sense of accomplishment when you perform something yourself. Even something as simple as this.
I took the engine out of my integra and stripped it down to the bare block for sleeving and forging two years ago when I started my turbo build. It was the first time I had done anything like that. You learn A TON and save yourself hassles like this. Every little thing you do to your car is another learning experience.
I have never done the anchor thing with floor mats but I guarantee you I would try before I sent it to a dealership. You paid for your car. Nobody is going to take good care of it like you would. Keep that in mind in the future.
