Right now I've probably spent $50 on supplies, but that's been starting from scratch (mixing cups, stirrers, gloves, PAM, tape, all that little stuff included). I'll post a complete list and costs when I'm done.

Third (and maybe final?) layer is drying. I took it out of the tire after the second layer, peeled off the aluminum foil, and it fits perfectly in the tire afterwards. So far so good! Now I just need my sub to get here so that I can cut the MDF

Planning on it tomorrow; it's supposed to be in the 50s and sunny! I'm going to try some underliner spray, then I just have to cut the MDF and resin the whole thing together.

Thinking about the Sony XM-1S amp because it's so teeny. And the healthy tax return should get the F90BT I want. Thoughts?

thats sounds great.
you could also look at the Alpine PDX amps
and the Eclipse avn 6620 Navi unit. both very
good products.

Alpine PDX looks great, but it's 2-3x times the cost of the Sony Maybe I'll be able to upgrade someday.

I'm pretty much sold on the f90bt, for two reasons. #1 It doesn't have the DVD-based navigation; it's all stored on a hard drive. #2 The avic411.com community is huge, and the ease of modding the Windows CE OS is really a selling point.

Me neither!

I modified your design a little...using underspray on the sub box. Waiting for it to dry right now. Meanwhile, JDM emblems = installed!

Call my insurance company, tow truck, cab, or rental car agency...depending on how urgently I need to get somewhere.

Thats cool. If it's okay with you it's okay with me.

I came from neighborhoods where you just don't leave
your car behind. especially a new one. It will disappear quick.
