Once the car is titled it depriciates heavily. Like 4K. Just resolve it already. Call Honda, you obviously are not making any headway with anyone at the local dealership. Go over their heads if they are playing games with you. Get the "new car" idea out of your head and be realistic about the situation. WHile I agree with the paint thinner idea in a practical sense, if you go screwing around with it and spill it or get it somewhere else or use too much or whatever then it's ALL YOUR PROBLEM, plus it doesn't remove scratches. Time to put this thing to bed.

Good luck with American Honda Co., Inc. I had a dealer mess up my car too.
Here's what happened when I called American Honda Co., Inc.

Put your energy into deciding what you really want, and then pursuing it. Car dealers (and anyone who works with the public) are used to dealing with people who rant and rave and foam at the mouth. They blow them off. Stay reasonable, but determined and insistent, and I bet you get what you decide you want (my guess would be all new parts--no spray paint).
Very well said. I double that..

They had to order the carpet. I drop it off Tuesday and pick up a loaner car. I'll let you know once I get it back.

The dealership had the painter guy call me and the dealership is supposed to call me today to follow up. This whole thing is such a headache. I just opened up the upper glove box and realized that they pried that area as well to get the stereo out.

Is it too anal to hate pry marks??? Am I crazy? I like my car overall, but hate that these clowns molested it.
Would you except some small pry marks/shiny sprayed touched up areas?
Is it too much to ask for a whole new dash? These guys are sure to mess that install up. I'm sure it would rattle like a '98 Grand Am afterwords.

All I wanted was the heater control knob face and lower steering column cover replaced. I wish I just lived with the scratches it had instead of taking it to them to "fix it".
I guess you have to assume that if you bring your car in to get some small cosmetic repairs done it will come out worse than it was in the first place.

Sorry,
I'm just doing a little venting before I get the call from the dealer.
