What should I do? Dealership screwed up my car.

I went to the dealership after work and talked with the service manager. He was really nice. He is going to talk to the guy that "touch up" the interior to see what he can do as far as fixing it. I'm going to need to call him tomorrow to let him know that I want anything that has paint on it to be replaced. Some parts have slight overspray but it annoys me that any paint was used at all. They initially sprayed it to touch up some slight scratches they made while putting in the new parts.
Its tough because the overspray is sort of hard to see if not pointed out to someone. I just know its there and it bugs the hell out of me.
The service manager is really nice but I'm not sure if he would go for replacing all the parts.
It would need all the parts with the red dots. The majority of the parts are small and inexpensive, but the little scratches are on the edge of the dash. I couldn't imagine having the whole dash replaced. They would be sure to mess that up.

Why would they think of spray painting inside the car without a lot of masking. A little dab of touch-up paint with a small brush would be a lot safer or take the parts off first. I wouldn't let the 'painter' anywhere near the car unless it is to pay for the parts that he 'damaged'.

I would have tried to track it down in my owners manual, but I can't get to it till later today.
I'm not sure if I'll call yet. I might try to resolve it further with the dealer first.
Thanks again.

If they had to replace the main dash panel (part #9102260) I'm sure the car would never be the same. I bet it would have all kinds of rattles and stuff, plus I'm sure they would scratch it in some other area.

It doesn't matter how many parts they have to replace. It's their fault entirely and they need to be responsible for their actions and give you the car in new condition. I wouldn't take it any other way. Definitely ask Honda corporate to chime in and demand the dealer to rectify this issue.

Sure its safe but you have to be safe while doing it. Just go to auto zone and grab a bottle for 6 bucks. Also get some of those white polish cloths. Get one cloth and put some thinner on it (work fast because the thinner evaporates real fast )
Wipe the part a little bit with very minimal pressure, then take a clean rag and whipe the thinner off. If you let it sit too long itl soften the paint and eat the plastic but itl take at least 10 seconds to soften the paint and half an hr to start eating the plastic. If your doing this yourself you have nothing to worry about. Wipe it back and forward fast with the wet one for a few seconds, then wipe it off.
You dont even want the rag dripping wet. Just wet enough. Make it damp. I promise you itl be fine. I do this all the time on exteriors of cars to get tar off or things rubbing compound or other stuff wont get off. You can try rubbing compound but then you need to blend it so youd want to rubbing compound the entire piece then polish it by hand gently to get it looking uniform.

I know this may seem drastic, but I wonder how much I would lose if I traded it back in to them and got a new one that hasn't been molested.
I would at least have to pay sales tax again....,that would suck.

My guess is, from looking at your picture, that their tech could pull that dash panel and replace those parts in no time. Then you'd be good to go and could forget all about it. They have to pull dash panels all the time to get to stuff.

Stop with that kind of thinking. Contact Honda and get it resolved.

Don't let them talk you down. You're entitled to a new-condition car. Demand that they give it to you as such.
