Please don't. If anything paint them black to hide them. Unless you have a big brake kit they need not be painted.

how long do you leave the calipers sitting with the wheels off before you can get going? I don't want to paint them and be stranded for the whole day. I'm guessing maybe an hour would be fine?

Why's that? Looks?

I'm a fan of colored calipers, appropriately colored calipers I should add. Very racy appearance. Not at all a fan of painted drums though.

You can get Mugen and Spoon front calipers in blue. Why not paint?

Because painting calipers is being a poser IMO, if you have a BBK or spoon calipers then colored is awesome. Just like on my STI Gold Brembos looked great, but I would laugh my ass off if some kid painted his stock brakes gold on a base Impreza.

But to each his own, Ive just been around a long time and have seen that most people always in the long run wish they had stepped away from the paint can

I don't see a problem with painting them black. My car/rims are black. I'd like black calipers too.

here they are..... have them painted for a week now and I don't regret it, they look nice to me, a did my wife's pontiac vibe first for practice cause she wanted to painted them, they look little rusty, they looked nice to me so I did mine... had to wait 24 hours when I did it.

nice clean TW, might have been better if you just painted the fronts and left the drums black, what % are your tints?

i'm not a fan of painted calipers/drums either, but to each his own. i think no paint is best, and if you must, then just do it black. but otherwise it screams tacky to me.

The only reason I have painted my calipers in the past was because the oem paint was coming off. Red=Ricey.

I like the gold Brembo calipers on my 07 Sti too, but anyone who mods a street car is a bit of a poser aren't they? I mean lightweight lugs and batteries, carbon fiber body pieces and oversize Volks on a Fit is all a bit silly isn't it?

I painted the stock calipers red on my 05 blue WRX and got many compliments from serious car people and lay people alike. Its a personal-taste thing bobo so right back 'atchya.
