Tire / wheel specifications /combos

I'm looking to possibly buy winter tires which is making me think about planning for summer ...upgrades .

A few questions, thanks in advance:

What is the stock 16" tire size, wheel weight and offset?

What 17" (preferably) or 16" stock Honda wheels (Accord etc.) are able to fit....the fit

Thanks

The stock wheel is 16x6, 53 mm offset and the tire is 185/55x16.
For winter we have found the 175/65x15 tire size on 15x6 to 7/45 mm wheels to be best in our trips to the mountains of NC.
Unfortunately we haven't found a good winter tire for the 16" wheels other than the stock 185/55x16's So if you just change tires there are a couple of 16" choices. try TireRack and Discounttiredirect. If you get alternate wheels make sure they fit a Fit; i.e. caliper clearance,hub bore, 4x100 BC, etc
As for snow tires:
205/50x15 tires
30.1__6,912__280.1 corrected mileage
31.4 7.103 223.1
29.9 7.914 236.9
31.8 8.112 258.1
32.4 8.052 260.7
31.12 average
sigma = 1.084

175/65x15 tires
29.8 7.924 236.2
27.8 7.822 217.2
30.1 8.222 247.6
30.7 6.782 208.3
31.7 7.152 226.6
30.02 average
sigma = 1.43

Significance test at 95% confidence level:
31.12+1.96(1.084)/2.236 < 30.02 <31.12-1.96(1.084)/2.236
If 30.02 is not less than (31.12 - .96) nor greater than (31.12 + .96) there is not enough statistical evidence to say that the two samples are different.
30.02 is less than (31.12-.96,), or 30.16, so the two samples are statistically different.
It is reasonable to say that 175/65x15 tires got less gas mileage than 205/50x15 tires

And likely because of the greater weight at the larger diameter of the 175/65 tire. Experience and physics says that the wider and larger the tire the less mpg expected.

For oem Honda wheels, the only ones that will most likely fit are from
pre-06 Civics/Del Sols and Integras. They were the only 4x100 setups. Tires that will work, 15-205/50/15 195/55/15 16-195/50/16 205/45/16 185/55/16. With 15's, the 195/55/15 will probably be ur best bet for snow tires. In 16's, the 195/50/16. For summer, 17's would be 205/40/17 but for rims you'll need to go aftermarket.

The weight of the stock 16s are 19.3 pounds each.
As for wheels, if you wanna keep it cheap and still light, you could look into Rotas. Otherwise, go for some high dollar Japanese wheels!
