How to remove the headlights?
Updated... I did the black housing headlight mod and wanted to show some pictures
Hi all,
I'm planning to do the DIY black housing headlights soon, but am having trouble removing the headlights...
I started by taking the black cover on top of the grill off, then I only saw two bolts holding the headlights (one of top of the headlight housing and one near the grill). I tried yanking those suckers off, but no budge... I stopped trying after a little bit because I didn't want to crack any part of it.
Is there another bolt holding it down that I can't see? I'm wondering if I have to take the front bumper off...
Man, I'm such a NOOB, but any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all!

Pics of DIY black housing headlights
Thanks for the tip on removing the bumper. I did that and followed Smeister's DIY (https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...eadlights.html). I followed this DIY to a T. It was great.
It turned out pretty good, actually very good. I kinda screwed up on the left one when resealing it, as the headlight pops out slightly. I will fix it next week. But the right side is clean... It took all afternoon, as I had to bake each headlight at a time.
Here are the pics (sorry, I have no access to an actual camera besides my phone):

Thanks for the comment. The car is lowered on Tanabe NF210's. The photo looked wierd now that you mentioned it. The car is lower than it looks on that pic. Normally, I can't stick 2 fingers in the gap... Weird. But then again, the NF springs aren't an aggressive drop...
Here are pics of the car actually:
Im on 17x7.5 +43 on 205/40's... I didn't want the car too low. I think it's good, but it's all subjective anyway

It actually wasn't that hard to take apart the headlights... Just a bit of elbow grease to pry apart the sealant after the headlights came out of the oven. When resealing, some pressure to put the housing and the cover was needed to seal it completely. That DIY made life easy

Thanks man. It wasn't that hard to do, to be honest...On paper, it seems like a lot of work, but it isn't too bad. Just follow the DIY and its cake

The springs were great when I was on stock rims/tires. Now that I'm riding on 205/40's, I feel every little bump on the road I'll live w/ that for now until I opt out for coilovers...hopefully, coilovers won't be as stiff compared to the Tanabes and stock struts/shocks...

Haha...I am screamin HID retrofits... TSX retrofits But... I can live with the halogens as HID's are too expensive for my wallet. I wish I could. Did you have HID's installed when doing your headlights?

It's really easy to do. I just went to Kragen and picked up a can of flat black paint. I think others have use a semi-gloss black paint as well, which actually looks better than the flat black I used IMO. I did the same for a friend as well, and it looks clean. Anyway, shouldn't take you more than a couple hrs to complete. Have fun & GL!
