Cheap and Effective Sun Visor Solution
#21
Just so people know, I ordered the visor from the link above, item no. 303140, and the one that came was the one pictured on the web page with suction cups. Pretty cheesy three pieces of plastic, two bigger flaps attached by rivets to another plastic piece and the two suction cups. There's no way this one can be mounted under the headliner trim and it doesn't flip up out of the way, either.

This might be a dumb question but, to clarify, can this be attached to the actual driver side visor? My issue isn't the space between the driver and passenger visors, but the fact that when I swing the driver side visor to the side, it doesn't drop down low enough to protect the side of my face from the sun. Does this resolve that?

I have also had problems with the sun between the visors and used the 20% static cling window tint on the front windshield. It is working well and I also put in on the hatch windows until I can get the windows tinted. In the mean time the $10 to do all of that has been money well spent.

Sweet 914!
I've got a '73. I wonder how many Fit owners also own 914s--probably not too many...
Side view, showing how clips go under the headliner (and yes, that's my 914 back there...)
We had our first rainy day in ages, so it wasn't much of an issue driving to work today, but it looks like it's going to work perfectly. You can also easily slide it a cm or so nearer to the driver to eliminate any gap to the driver's visor.[/quote]

I used to light up Porsche guys by pointing out that my baywindow Westfalia camper had the same engine as their ride; really got their knickers in a wad. Wouldn't mind having one all the same; hell, I'd like to still have the Westy.
My wife was complaining about no visor above the mirror, unlike her car. Her Volksie has a neat little flip down visor right above the RVM.
