Exhaust tip

My Fit didn't come with an exhaust tip. I've been looking around but most tips are only for the first generation.

This is the only one for the '09 that I have found.

eBay Motors: 2009 Honda Fit High Polished Exhaust Muffler Tip (item 260320941449 end time Dec-23-08 15:42:30 PST)

What do you guys think?

Do you have a base or sport? Im guessing base if you don't have the tip finisher.

At any rate, the sports tip is nothing special. I think you can do just as well at any auto parts store.

OR find a tip you like from whatever exhaust you want. Hack a few inches of the Fit OEM exhaust and weld the new one on.

OR use this as an excuse to get an aftermarket exhaust.

Oh, BTW from a newb to a newb WELCOME aboard. I have had my Fit less than a week at this point, and love it already.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes, mine is a base. Not looking for anything major like a catback, just want a tip. Already tried the local parts stores but they are all too small.

This one bolts on so I figure it'll be quick and painless. If no one's bought from them I'll do it and report back!

No problem on the welcome! Im 99.9% sure you will love this car. Is it fast? Nope... but its a BLAST to drive.

Im sure if you can just hold on for a little while, MANY people will swap out the OEM exhaust, and you can probobably pick one up CHEAP... or perhaps even get someone to sell you the tip even CHEAPER.

Good luck with the Fit... have fun, and stay safe.

Its a shame you are so far away, I have access to a lift, torch, and welder... we could do whatever you wanted!

Thanks guys.

I just took a look at the link BakedCookies posted. Hmmm, not really liking the factory one. It doesn't look like a rolled edge. The one on eBay seems to look of higher quality.

I'll give it a go and let everyone know how it is.

Other ones that fit that look nice are the S2000 tip and the 2009 Honda Accord tip... they are kink of oval shaped and fill out the opening in the rear bumper nicely...

Anyone have any pics of the S2000 tip on a GE? The tip looks nice!

Someone here put on the Civic Si oval tip, but the sides touched the exhaust cut-out on the bumper. Any solutions for this?

I just ordered mine. I will post pics as soon as I put it on.
jdm_dohc_sir said it will fit. I just went by his word (he knows his sh*t) I looked at the SI tips also. They look like they might be wider than the s2k tips.

Here is a pic I have of the s2k tip.

So... I've got the chance to buy 2 s2000 exhaust tips. My buddy won't sell me just one because he doesn't want to break the set in case he finds someone with an s2k that wants them. But he will sell both for $60. They are used, but are cosmetically good with no denting and such. They are $62 from Bernardi plus shipping.

If I buy both of them anyone else interested in the other? Split the cost down the middle plus whatever it costs for me to ship it? Anyone interested shoot me a PM.

d*mmit! I would have if I didn't order mine already.
FYI I also ordered the bolt and washer for the s2k tip because I didn't know if the screw and washer would work from the Fit (Fit bolt is 6X12). Not like it broke the bank or anything. Might want to make sure he includes them just in case.

93405-06012-08 Honda BOLT-WASHER (6X12) $0.13
95701-06010-08 Honda BOLT, FLANGE (6X10) $0.54
