First mods...(lighting)

Trying to keep things cheap, I just used extra stuff I had laying around the garage. I have a plethora of LED bulbs, an HID kit from a turbo civic build, etc.

I couldn't stand the amber bulbs in the headlight housings so I got clear turn signals and put LEDs in the city light location. 4300k HID kit from a 95 Civic we put a turbo in. An extra LED bulb for the trunk location. I also put white leds in the maplights but hard to capture a good shot with a point and shoot camera.

How did you change the truck area lighting? Any special LED bulb required?

Nice light mods. Are you using bi-xenon for the HIDs?

Trunk area is a 194 LED bulb, same bulb as the city lights. The HIDs are are HID low beam and a halogen high beam. I'm going to sell them to some kid at work for like $40 and get a true bi-xenon "kit."

Turn signals flash like a regular "white" bulb not amber. It's the equivalent to a regular halogen in terms of color.

Wow, that looks sharp. I especially like the way the lights make the head housing have an angel eye effect in that close up shot.

No amber on the signals, asking for a $200 ticket in Canada. I guess you are braver than I.

Yes, I am looking for the chromish ones. I saw a BMW the other day, loaded with posh bulbs. Might do the change over the same time I install my new headlights. Get my hands good and scratched up.

That Trans Am on your sig. looks like a deep sea sub. Just need a little arm on the front to take ocean bed samples. You're in Florida, might come in handy.

Can you take a picture of the LED itself outside of the headlight? I'd like to know what sort of LED you use.

Thanks.

With the hids having the halogen high beam and hid low beam did the drl still function or no.

the top markers are 194, wdge the inside domes are T31x10 I assume its 31x10mm

plate frames are 194 wedge as well, all this is based on my GE sport MT, I'd be surprized if they are different on the non-sport models...

I got mine here
