yep whole shifter is the same so the short shifter adapters will work as well.
BTW you can get a t1r from http://www.typeoneracing.com the short shifter is $79.99 CAD.

On another note:
I just ordered a H-Fit Short Shifter Kit for my '09 MT FIT sport (GE8).... and I got a skunk 2 shift knob for a deal on ebay. I can't wait. I decided to go this way from some of the articles here on FitFreak.net

they both look like the same product but just badged differantly. well you could buy it and see if it fits and if not take it back and say you got the wrong model.

lol
Poor communication on my part ... I contacted a couple suppliers and the shift box inside the console is the same in the 07-08 as the 09 so any of the replacements like the Mugen works, the skunk2 adapter works or any of the short shift kits and adapters that worked with the 07-08 will work with the 09

As a follow-up -I installed my H-Fit Short Shifter Kit for my '09 MT FIT sport (GE8)and my skunk 2 shift knob and it was even easier than it looks in the instructions. Plus, I am really impressed with the feel> The shifting is very positive and solid It feels like a "Gate" shift.

The H-Fit kit does not lower the shifter height though, correct? Just shortens the throw?

It actually raises the height slightly and shorten the throw as well as making it crisper.

I am totally thrilled with the Mugen quickshifter. There's no way I was going to cheap out on transmission. Plus it's the entire assembly, made by Mugen, not just a lever and mounts.

I had the spoon or whatever short shift kit on my 07. got it on ebay for like $35.
Really liked it.
I also used Penzoil Syncromesh tranny fluid, really improved and smoothed the shifts. Bought 2 qts at autozone, it takes like 1.6 as I recall.

Anyone know if there is a dual-bend shifter available for the 09 fits? Like the 94-01 integra type.... I sit all the way back and it is not comfortable leaning forward to reach the shifter in 1st

Like saveacivic, I'd love to get a dual-bend shifter. Sorry to sorta hijack this thread, but I hadn't seen this question asked before and didn't know what to call the part. I'm 5'-4" tall and have Tyrannosaurus Rex length arms and the top end throws on the 5speed manual are a stretch for me, compared to other manual transmission cars I've owned.

Thanks

I'd doubt any moderator would consider that a hijack....Thats when people make attempts usually repeated to go to a completely unrelated topic. You got a good and interesting post there

But 6'2" here with long arms I too seem to have to lean to the right a bit to go into 5th. I was thinking about when I had it apart to do the spoon kit, to have my machine shop heat it up and put a bit of a rearward bend in it.

if no one comes out with one, I may remove my shifter, heat it and bend it myself.

There are dual-bend shifters available... Link ---> Skunk2 Racing: SHORT-THROW SHIFTERS From this thread ---> https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...-mod-wise.html this thread also confirms that the 07-08 shifters are the same as the 09's.
