That's exactly what I was wondering! ..I once peeked under the rear end of a G35 Coupe and saw an extra pipe leading out the other side of the muffler to give the appearance of "dual exhaust". I was like, WTF?! You have got to be kidding me! A $40k car!

G35 does have dual exhaust. The engine has 2 banks because of V6, one header on each side each to a catalytic converter then a Y pipe coming together to one mid pipe, sound baffle then into one muffler and 2 pipes coming out from the muffler.

I guess I was expecting TWO mufflers underneath the car. Not one muffler with two pipes stuck to it.

It's cheaper to make 1 muffler vs 2 and it's easier to make the 2 pipe align horizontally when they come from the same muffler. Don’t' have to deal with 2 sets of exhaust hanger.

I know this is below standard for Mugen, but it isn't too bad. The rear is very Mazda 6/Lexus LS 460ish, and the kit in itself is subtle, which I like. Its also cool that they will eventually be selling that for a change.

If I could afford a $40k G35, I'd expect dual exhaust AND dual mufflers.

One good thing about single muffler is it saves some weight. Plus if you ever get rear ended it's cheaper to fix.

everything is mainly stock. looks like a 2 hr rush job. slap on some stickers, change the wheels, which looks HEAVY, pop on a lip kit.

the car should have diff tails and be lowered at the very least.

not feeling the lip, but the mats and the wheels are great.

i don't think honda thinks we are idiots....but they also realize that we put an emphasis on whats 'jdm' which can be just as bad as being an idiot no?

i mean...how useful is a jdm swap kelso? lots of money for looks? isn't that what this fit is doing?

not trying to start ish, just trying to be fair.

I personally think the JDM mugen Fit is a bit overboard, the USDM they dialed it back a bit so it doesn't look so aftermarket. I only wish they offer more real performance parts like adjustable suspension, brake upgrade, ECU upgrade for those of us who don't mind less MPG for more power.

I'm digging the shift knob.

Is that a new knob to be released with the new Fit goodies, or is it already available? If it is available, anyone got a source?
