I installed the Polk DB651s using the mounting bracket (had to drill 3 holes) and harness from Crutchfield. Big improvement over the stock speakers, and as previously stated, a small sub would complete the upgrade.

160 Watt 6-speaker stereo!! but, the speakers, to me at least, are less than stellar. i'm thinking about replacing just the ones in the lower front doors. or, do the speakers loosen up with age? (i only have 900 miles after 3 months)
it just sounds like they're some lousy dual-cone 6.5" sitting down there. no punch, no sparkle. i dunno. whadaya think?

Does the Crutchfield mounting bracket from the '08 Fit Sport work on GE8s?

I agree that the sound quality is WAY better using my iPod via USB than with the radio. Still not great, but decent. Radio sound quality, mediocre.

Can't expect much from Honda's entry vehicle; thats why I never figured in the stereo as a 'plus' or 'feature' when buying this car.
Audiophiles will have to spend a small fortune to make the the Fit sound good (new head unit, new speakers, wiring, sub, insulation, etc.)
Luckly I don't care too much when it comes to car-audio

I'm thinking Pioneer or Kenwood GPS head unit, and Focal fronts or Alpines all around. I'd like to get components, but I really don't trust myself doing this install. Might have Best Buy or Circuit City do it, or a real car audio store.
