Non stop horn

I'm in the midst of finishing installing my Fiamm El Grande horn, but when I put the fuse in the horn wouldn't stop.

Any electrically-savvy people know what's going on?

Thanks.

Mine just shipped yesterday, so I'll have them soon.

It sounds like a couple of the wires are switched. Does the relay have three terminals, or four?

You see! I have no idea what your lingo is. Relay? What's that? But the terminal has 5 I think, but 1 isn't in use.

Ground side? Power side?

If there is only one wire on the stock horn, that wire has to be hot (+12volts).

I copied this link from another post by SOL_GT;
Relay Wiring

How does your wiring diagram compare to this?

no offence but if you have no idea should you be doing it at all? however the manual only shows one wire then it grounds through the horn so it seems like it would be hard to do wrong. is the new horn grounded well?(mounted to a clean metal surface)

C5MT,

Does the diagram look something like this?

Scroll down, under "Revision" and click diagram.
The original Fit horn won't have the black wire if there is only one.

i guess the next obvious question would be if you put it back to stock does it work properly? if so something you did was wrong and if not something you did wrecked something.

Okay, rerouted some wires and PRESTO!!! Big horn!!! EL GRANDE!!!

Thanks CBX for the diagram. It looked a little different than the instructions on the box, so I switched a few wires around and that worked.

I just hope my car isn't going to exploded due to my novice install, hehe.

Thanks again all.

I honked a few times while parked to test and it sounds pretty much identical to my 08 Accord horn. Loud and non-wimpy. Can't wait to honk at everyone on the road.

My special thanks to TKZ12NO1 for posting his thorough procedure, review and vid on this horn. He was responsible for the successful easy install.

yes honda uses the brackets for the negative terminal...... the horn only uses 1 wire for positive...

try wiring the other to the negative (which would be the brackets)

NEVERMIND DIDNT SEE YOU FIXED THE PROBLEM.
