New Mods w/Pics (RS*R springs - Type R & RS badges)

Well my weekend projects were completed, and here's the link to my Picasa album:

Picasa Web Albums - Tom - Type R badges...#

Special thanks go out to JDM DOHC SiR for hooking me up with the springs and badges!!

(I still haven't seen another 2009 Fit on the road in Wisconsin. I know they must be out there, but we haven't crossed paths yet!)

The emblems look awesome on that TW!!! Carbon fiber kit really does dress up the interior, plus that blue stitching on the shifter stands out and looks great!

Thanks for the comments - some more info...

Re: Wheels/Tires:
Enkei NT03-M Hyper Black (17x7.5 +45et)
Falken ZE-912 P205/45R17

Re: Amount of drop - it's about 1" in front and 1.2" in rear. They settled a lot just in the time after I was done. I have not test-driven the car yet, so I can't comment on the post-drop fitment of the wheels/tires. There were zero problems before dropping it, and I have been counting on some negative camber assisting with things after the springs went in. So even though the tires are closer, they will hopefully tuck in under compression. The rear won't be any problem at all.

Re: Bay Lane Middle School - my 4-year old has gone there many times for tumbling classes during the winter months. It's about 5-6 miles from where I'm located.

You know, I didn't even know about that thread, but I did almost exactly everything he points out there, including the sanding and using a dremel to eliminate some high spots that would interfere. Then lots of alcohol wiping and since it was in the 50's this weekend, I also used a heat gun to warm up the body surfaces and the badge itself.

I did biff the front badge a bit, though, when I first put it on, as it wasn't aligned properly. Just a little off, but noticable. Lucky for me I hadn't really pressed it down yet, so I was able to pull it off and remount it.

car looks great man! So I take it you didnt get the badges that are a supposed direct swap with no mods? Or are these the ones and they still need to be modded.
