Both our cars where built on the same day 8/08

mine = Bridgestone EL470, SSM Sport AT, non-navi

hers = Dunlops , BBP Sport MT, non-navi

my guess is that the autos have bridgestones while the
manuals have dunlops

Why Michelins? Never had a Michelin I liked and the stock Michelin MXM4 that Honda/Acura puts on some cars are junk junk junk.

I've owned VW's, they perform well on them. I don't see why they wouldn't on this car but perhaps you bring a good arguement to the
table...This is basically my first Honda Plus on the Canadian wetcoast, michelin allseasons are the best for the weather. I keep forgetting i'm not there anymore sometimes, if anyone here has ever hydroplaned on the I-5 they can attest to this

The '08 Sport w/o Nav AT that I traded in had the Dunlops.
The '09 Sport w/o Nav AT I have now has the Bridgestones.

And the '09 is ALOT quieter. Not sure if the Bridgestones are the solution or if the '09 is that much quieter, but I'm quite thankful. I kept/keep my tire pressure at 35f/32r psi.

I find it interesting that TireRack sells the Bridgestone OE size for $31 more than the comparable Dunlop for our cars.

I think the Bridgestone is more of a touring type tire while the Dunlops are more sport/all-weather oriented. Got to see Dunlops up close - looks sweet... if I keep to stock, those will be the next set of shoes once the Bridgestones are done (which will be a while ).

I started another thread about this (hadn't seen this one)...

My friend and I both ordered Orange '09 Fit Sports, they came in to our local dealer the same day. His came with Dunlops and mine came with Bridgestones. The only difference between the 2 cars is that his has a manual transmission and mine is an automatic.

I tried to get the dealer to switch over to the Dunlops (because I run 14" snows on steelies anyway) but they didn't go for it!

Just from reading what postings are up, it looks like all the manual transmission models posted have the Dunlops and the Automatics have the Bridgestones. Am I right about that?
