Headlight adjustment on 09 sport

I'm sorry if this thread already exists but I just did this on my Fit just now.

After a pretty long trip down HWY 88 to Visit my daughter at college I
really noticed how low the headlights are adjusted. The lights definatly
needed to be out a little bit farther. I looked around the forum today and found an adjustment thread but i think the 09 are a little easier to fix this problem.

there is a 8mm bolt on the back of the headlight, clearly marked Up and Down! how easy is that! a few turns and voila!

I remember a few 09 Fit owners saying that theirs were aimed low as well. I'll have to remember to do this when mine comes in.

I must be misunderstanding the markings; tightening the adjustment bolt raised the light's point of aim.
A thing worth doing, tho'; really very good lights after the adjustment.
The fogs can be easily adjusted as well; take out the 10 mm screw inboard of the fogs, pull them out of the airdam by pivoting them outboard, and turn them over. There is a silver philips screw with a spring surrounding it; tighten that to raise the point of impact.
My factory fogs were only good for jewelry dropped in front of the bumper...

It was an improvement but the low beam headlight output is still lacking in my opinion. I almost smacked into 4-5 deer the other night...didn't see them until the last second and luckily just breezed between them all (it was pretty insane). What's the general consensus of the SilverStar Ultras, are they worth it? I would love to do some kind of HID, but I would something that wont void the warranty, to buy from a reputable seller, and be sure what they will look like once installed. I prefer the "stock HID" look, like from a high-end Mazda3......any advice guys? All the different HID choices are kind of confusing. Thanks!

I took the HIDs out of my 1995 Civic that I built for the Grassroots Motorsports $2008 challenge and threw them in the fit the 2nd day I had it lol. It is an improvement over the stock bulbs. Luckily the HID kit that was on the Civic was a 4300k bulb so it looks more OEM than aftermarket which is nice. Doesn't compare to the Hella 90mm projector conversion I did on my 2000 Trans Am with D2S bulbs, but still an improvement over the stock lighting.

Haha, I went all out on the TA while it was down when I was putting a cam and built tranny in it. Projector conversion and 3000k hids in the foglights. But the stock lighting on those is comparable to driving at night while holding a flashlight out the window.

I'm debating putting 4300k in the foglights as well on the Fit. I put 3000k on the TA b/c no one has em, everyone has yellow fog lights on Hondas...I'm ass backwards lol.

yep, 08 fit here but i raised mine for that exact reason. thought the aiming was too low and short, and saw a thread to raise em up. put a couple cranks on it and wow, it gos a distance. problem is, it does lose light as it goes down the road. thats where more powerful lights step in (not color). mine is 10w more output (still same draw as stock) and it still doesnt give me that "perfect" light, it isnt HID tho. another reason i did it is to show off my lights!! EEEEEE! everyone knows that lol its hard to keep it exactly on line and equal tho, one could be high than the other. and down the road, maybe 30 50 feet? the oposing driver would think its high beams since its too much of an upward angle. what i did was that i parked my car next to a long wall (side of a warehouse was what i used) and marked so-so feet off the ground so-so distance from the car and make sure its level. i forgot what the hieght was but ill use an example. lets say the lights are 3 feet high, 50 feet down, put a tape on the wall 3 feet high. have a friend stand at the tape n tell u high or lower and blah blah same for other light. drive safely! -deer looks at me curiously-
