? on 09 NAVI, is it possible

that we can input a video source for DVD/VCD etc... through the Navi DVD slot? I knew that people have done this to the stock TSX Navi. and put in rear view cameras also.

They have it because you can watch TV/ DVD`s from the Navigation Unit...... Unless someone finds a backdoor hack for the US Navi unit I doubt that we will be able to use one for it...

you CAN... however you need a seperate dvd player which you can then splice into the Navi with RCA cable to get it to show on the screen.

Splice? So I'm guessing you'd have to splice the vid output of the DVD player into the Navi existing Vid (rca type) input.
There is no seperate rca/s-video or any kind of Video input besides that so there would be no splicing necessary?

Thanks.

On my MDX nab, the unit is under the passenger seat and has an RCA cable to the display in the dash. So, you can buy a video switch with multiple inputs--DVD player, backup camera, etc.

But on the fit, it seems to be all one unit (the DVD goes right into the HU). So if there is no RCA cable to a display, there is nothing to split. There may be another RCA input jack that is used for the BU camera in Japan. Perhaps it is disabled in the US version???

Hopefully we can get a pic of the Navi panel/connections and see what we're dealing with.

Maybe there's a seperate RCA, but as mentioned will it be disabled?
I wouldn't be surprized since they already disabled BT, DVD, Sat Radio, etc..
