UMMM ... I'd love to but lack the skills! The pix I posted is hosted on Flickr, that's why it is smallish. The file as it resides on my drive is 5+MB but I don't know how to get it from there to here. Any pointers would be appreciated!

At a width of 1024, your pictire is perfect for a forum. Any larger requires us to scroll about. We are clearly very busy people here, and can't be bothered with scrolling about!
I would be interested to see the unedited original shot, for comparison.

At the time I took the picture I took 2 others that were over exposed in about 1.3ev increments and another 2 that were under exposed in about 1.3ev increments. I then took all 5 images, and using software called Photomatix, I combined them to create an HDR (high dynamic range) image that I tone mapped to produce this image:
I then used Photoshop to create the black and white file, and by adjusting the sliders I found I could 'chrome' my fit!

That's amazing!
I have been in to photography since age five, but I have never seen such dynamic range enhancement. I remember many years ago experimenting with tone density separation using 4X5" high contrast film (remember film?), but never achieved a result like that.
