Honda OEM Bluetooth Details - Euro
Was able to finally run down the part numbers for the Honda OEM Bluetooth accessory for the LHD drive Fit/Jazz. This info appears to be just for the previous generation Jazz- but I have to believe we'll see '09 info (if it indeed changes) as soon as the UK car hits in a few weeks.
First: Brochure:
www.honda-access.com/dk/da/Images/50278.pdf
Part Numbers:
LHD "Kit": 08BLU-SAA-600
The "Kit" SKU consists of two parts:
08E00-EW2-602 Bluetooth Base Kit
08E02-SAA-600A LHD Bluetooth Attachment Kit
I have not yet determined if this will work with US spec navi and/or non-navi Fits - still working on that, although I may just order one up from Europe and give it a shot.

Note that this bluetooth system is stand alone - will not integrate w/ the navi system. It has its own microphone (integrated system uses the same overhead mic that navi uses), and most importantly, you cannot dial the number on your navi POI. Say you want to go to Monet's restaraunt and want to make a reservation first. In an integrated system (such as 09 Civic), you simply say "call" and it will dial the number for you. The integrated system also let you see who is calling. Not sure if this add-on thing will show the number on audio screen though. if not, it's really not worth the hassle of installation in my humble opinion.

Yeah I agree!
If the caller ID doesn't show up on the screen, and/or atleast have it use the system's speaker(s) I dont see it being worth the hassle to install it, or even buy it. I believe the AU version was at about $400.
As for POI I don't really use it anyway but I'm sure others many do.

Just got word from College Hills Honda today that Honda will have an OEM bluetooth unit out for the Fit in a couple of months. Don't know as of today if it will integrate with the nav head or be more of a stand-alone unit like the one above.

They have factory LHD Bluetooth for the GE8 in Europe (France) but the conversion is really expensive! I've looked into it and decided against it because of the overall cost. I'm just going to get an Alpine double DIN with Navi and Bluetooth built-in like my W205 I've had in my Pathfinder...Much easier and a lot easier to update down the road.
