No idea...rarely let it go below a quarter tank before filling.
Have never seen the low fuel light..if there is one.

"No idea", me neither. The gasoline in the tank keeps the fuel pump from over heating, so why run it dry? Buddy of mine was a chronic "$5 fill" guy and he burned up two fuel pumps. Especially in the winter, I don't let it get too far past 1/2 empty. Never know when you'll slide off an icy road or have to bug-out.

I too hate this new "RELATED THREAD" thing on this forum where you jump from one thing into another that you don't give a crap about. Wish I could turn it off.

Yup,

That is true about the fuel pumps. The fuel keeps them cool...... Very good point... and Often forgotten...
It would be really good to know at what point(fuel Level) does the pump being to not be submerged.....
Is there any actual information regarding this......???????

I have been almost getting 40 to the gallon.... so.... I would say a tank... runs me up in the High 3's Like 380 - 400 range
When I drive I have the AVG-dometer in view.... AND I usually / often am seeing how it is responding to the driving terrain...

J

I appear to be getting 20mpg with all city driving and like one monthly highway trip to Sam's club. I actually expect this to get worse because I just put in a remote start two weeks ago, though more fuel for being less cold and miserable is a good trade off

The thing too with the gauge is that it takes into consideration (idling)

AND yes, Idling is really bad for fuel economy..... SO, a remote starter.... and then it idles...... WARMING UP.....

Yeah, this show up in the Miles Per Gallon Calculation......

Interesting too.......

I enjoy rolling in neutral......(AND GETTING eighty miles to the gallon)

BUT....... if rolling in neutral (under 20 miles per hour) you are lucky if you get twenty miles to the gallon....

So,,, this is observations.. I have seen with the meter.....

Sitting in traffic is a killer..... to the fuel economy........ (if you are not moving..... perhaps, turn the vehicle off)

I'm only averaging about $30 to $35 a month in gas money, so I guess I shouldn't complain. My job is only a ten minute drive away with a steep hill on the way back. I should just start doing more neutral drive down the hill there, but it isn't really worth it given my low mileage.

GE8 RS 1.5 CVT Full Tank @ 32 Liters when the Low Fuel warning light appears does around 420km. 261mi per 8.45 gallon @ 37.6mpg.

I drive this to work everyday both ways 30km, max speed 60-70kph, average speed after traffic and stop lights is 30kph. 30min travel time.
I fill up my tank everytime the gas light comes on, 32 Liters, i get around 14 to 18km/L, i leave my fit idle sometimes to heat the cabin, which lowers the mileage.
I should avoid idling coz my daihatsu move can do 20kpl even when idling at traffic or stop lights due to the eco idle stop start.

2010 1.2L 5 speed. Best tank so far was 365 miles on 37 liters. Fuel light came on at 315 miles. Car calculation and real-world calculation are about 4 MPG off.

Does everyone else's fuel light come on with about 3 gallons remaining?

I never got to empty but was at 273miles before filling up. The dash averaged 30 city and at most 35 highway mpg.
