Oil Life Percentage

Ok, so I have a little over 1k miles on my 09 and the oil life is still reading 100%. Granted that I mostly drive fwy I would still have expected it to drop a little at 1k miles. What's everyone else getting?

Ok so it looks like its normal. I was just curious because the dealer said something like the oil changes should be around 5-7k miles and I already put a 1k and its was still at 100%. I should be up to 2k by the end of next week so I'll update the thread.

Note that per the Owner's Manual (page 245), the oil life readout only drops in increments of 10% during the first 80% of the oil life. 100% on the readout actually means anything between 100% and 91%, 90% on the readout means anything between 81% and 90%, etc. In the last 20%, the readout shows 5% increments.

Don't listen to the dealer. Go by the manual. Don't be surprised if you're beyond 8000+ miles and at 15%. It's perfectly fine.
