Edmund's World's First Test 09 Fit Sport MT

^ I was mostly amused by the comment you seemed to have edited out.
"Obviously the 08 is more 'fun' than the 09"
I'm not concered with performance really. Both cars are 'fun' in my book. And yes, I have driven both. Piss on.

It always will be.
As said many times, any time a new, and undoubtebly better car comes along, the former owners take offense to anything that is said, and make themselves feel better by bashing the new model.
Perfect example is the S2000 crowd.
At any rate, it's what I'd expect from someone from Oregon.
*This message was not bashing everyone from Oregon, just one confused individual *
EDIT: I'd just like to point out that arguing about performance on a designed econo car is pointless. If you bought the car for performance, then you should have looked elsewhere. Also, to state the an older model is "better" than a new model simply because of performance is silly in itself. I have my performance car sitting in my garage, and often find myself defending it, but none the less it does nothing but put a smile on my face. I am buying the Fit to get back and forth to work, and hopefully have a little fun while doing so. Comparing 9 and 10 second 0-60 times is humerous, lets not make a spectical out of this forum.

I dont think I ever personally attacked you. I'm not sure why your are getting so heated. If you have an argument, state it. Otherwise, keep your little insults to yourself.

Motor Trend just tested an 09 Fit Sport with Navi MT, and guess what? 0-60 in 8.3 secs. So much for the new Fit being slower:

How the heck did Edmund get it so wrong? I can't imagine that the tires would make this kind of difference...

BTW, a Blue Sport MT w/ Nav is exactly the car I am waiting to arrive...

FWIW, I've decided I'll put 195/50-16 Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 on the stock wheels ASAP. If fact, I'll try to get the dealer to swap them off if I can. I had these tires in a very similar size (195/55-15) on my Integra GS-R, and they were far better in all (non-snow) conditions than any all-season radial I have ever driven and truly awesome in dry conditions. I intimidated everything from M3s to S2000s on our twisty mountain roads with those tires on that car.
