Bought a 2009 Tidewater Blue Sport Auto last Thursday the 23rd.
Got it from a dealer 2.5 hours away, never even had to go there. Did the purchase over the phone, then they delivered the car right to my driveway with the paperwork, took a few minutes to sign. Super easy purchase experience.
Paid $17986 out of door in NC including the 3% highway tax.

Bought an 09 Spot A/T in Crystal Black Pearl a little more than a week ago. So far I am loving this car way more than my 06 civic ex, although I miss the plusher seats and steering wheel audio. Loving the ride and functionality much more.
Paid 17,560 in PA.

Loved my 23 year old small silver sporty car but (1) it's getting very unreliable, (2) people just don't pay attention and kept almost hitting me and (3) the no cup holders, no back seat, teensy trunk were less fun as I and my friends are getting older.
Husband took me out car looking this summer and all the other cars were too big and fancy and not fun. Decided the Fit would work well for me but wanted a Sport Manual and there were very few at the dealers at that point. Remained undecided until I saw an Orange first gen Fit at a stoplight and went, yes! that's what I need. People will stop running into me with that car and the color is very autumn which suits me.
Decided to wait for the '09 Fit since it's late summer by now. Found this site and learned that they were arriving in the US. Our 2 old cars were making worse noises. Started trying to find an Orange MT at the local dealers but it was impossible. Began worrying that I wouldn't find one before my car needed major work.
By late September I was calling all over California and then to other states where I had relations to try and find one. Most dealers said, if you find one, buy it because you that's not a common one. After a few false starts and many helpful people giving me leads, I found just what I wanted, a OR 5MT no navi Fit with no stuff added on in Arizona. The folks were great dealing with this crazy lady over the phone and I gave them a deposit.
Husband went to get it and drove the 500+ miles back because I had some obligations that kept me home that week. That was October 4th. The picture was taken on the drive home to me.
A big thanks to the posters at this site who helped me with this decision and getting to know the ins and outs of the new car.

If I had to buy an '09, it would be OR, not BBP. I just think it looks really good in that color. Congrats on finding THE CAR you wanted!

love that name, wish I'd thought of that.
picked up my CBP Sport MT on 10/15 and have since found that this forum is a really useful tool to facilitate my procrastination at work.

After waiting for a month, my 2009 Milano Red Canadian DX (Base Model) Fit came in. I picked it up on October 23, 2008 at Winnipeg Honda. Elvis Balkissoon was my salesman and was awesome. I put up some pics in a new thread at https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...ase-model.html. I am very pleased so far! I've never had a red car so I'm excited. I could have gotten a black one two weeks ago but I'm really glad I held out.

09 Sport Auto Navi/VSA in Taffetta White on Friday. Actually would have been just fine with a base Fit, but wanted VSA. Unlike Scion and others, where you can buy it ala carte, Honda makes you buy the top trim with navi to get it.

Entry level families should be just as safe as others. At least offer it as an option!
2012 VSA is requires on ALL us models.
