Orange Revolution
Since I saw a lot of posts about orange revolution, I thought I'd post. First, orange revolution is two colors that are amazingly different. In the shade/overcast, it is an orange-brown copper sort of color. Sort of subdued. In the sun, however, it just plain lights up to a bright vivid orange -- almost metallic yellow in spots. You would seriously not believe it's the same color. The pictures below are the same car taken with the same camera about 1/2 hour apart. This is with a Canon which has pretty decent color fidelity.

Nice illustration of the 2 characters of color. Glad to see that Honda took a little courageous step in a hotter color and not so conservative. You also beat Fit Canada Girl in posting the first owner-orange revolution car.

Yes, I'm glad how this color turned out. I was actually lukewarm when I first saw it in the shade. I do wish it was a little more vivid in the shade, though. It would be interesting to compare it to Blaze Orange under similar lighting conditions. I've only seen BOM under mercury vapor at night so that's not too useful.
Personally, I was getting tired of the "sea" of silver, gray, black, silver, gray cars out there. The Fit is a smaller, feisty car which I think this color fits its personality

It's unbelievable how many compliments I have gotten this morning.
I took the day off to polymer the car and I have had at least 6 people walk by and first tell me how much they LOVE the color then they say "what kinda car is that?" Seems everyone knows a Yaris (I owned one) but nobody knows the Fit. Shame since the Fit is so superior to the Yaris in all aspects.

I Gotta Put 3 Coats Of PoLymer On & Apply Paint Protection to My Door Handles
Not to mention Scotch Guarding the entire interior, Vinylexing the interior plastic, adding a Rolling Stones tongue to the trunk hatch AND go back to the dealer, get my bumper protector and install it.
WANNA HELP? LOL!!

Update - My dealer just called and my Orange Fit arrives either tonight or tomorrow AM! Then they need about 2 days for installation of the, um, 12 accessories I ordered and about 1 day for tinting. I take delivery next Wednesday at 4 PM!!!!!!!! Perfect since my brother (who got me $2000 off the deal) heads back home to Edmonton the following day. Holy Cow I'm excited now!!!! WOOHOOOOO.

Introduce your brother to me! Wow, $2000 off the deal... even if it's $2000 canadian dollars. I was lucky to get a few hundred off. Congrats!

Thanks. Yeah, my brother rocks! I really got screwed on my trade-in so my brother came back into the dealership with me and set the dealer straight. Actually, he's the one that suggested to me that I get the Orange Sport for the same payments as I'd been proposed for the Tidewater LX. I never even considered the Sport since it was too $$$ So I owe him big time on that call too....

Pfft! It's not that much of a difference (US to CND $). The price of Canadian cars is much higher than in the US. There might be more room to negotiate because of that.

BTW, Edmonton and surrounding areas are absolutely gorgeous when I vacationed there a few years back.

Thanks. Oh you can be sure that pictures gallore will be posted once this baby arrives. I just contacted my dealer to see if I can pop in tomorrow or Saturday for a quick look.
My brother has been in Edmonton for about a decade now and does love it. He's the outdoorsy type so couldn't be in a better region of Canada...
