Can this thing be added to navi models? will the bluetooth info (caller ID, etc.) be shown on the screen? will the audio be integrated w/ factory radio? Otherwise it won't be worthy.
Update: I just emailed the seller. Will post the response here once I get any.

The company on eBay wrote back to me today, saying that they don't know anything about this product except it comes w/ instructions for installation. They directed me to honda.com to find out more. So, buy at your own risk.
I did find an installation diagram on teh web (forgot the link) but wasn't for this particular model, and not exactly the same shaped product, but i don't think it integrates w/ audio systems. it's only partially integrated so that when you turn on the engine it will automatically pair w/ your phone. it contains its own speaker and microphone. 2 buttons for volumn control, and 2 buttons for talk and hang up (like the 2 buttons on steering wheel controls).
i would not buy this thing for that kind of price (plus many of us would have to pay extra for installation). there's hardly any integration and for that you are better of getting an aftermarket head unit that does a lot more, or simply get a bluetooth headset. i found that using my phone's speakerphone serves the same purpose, with better sound quality (no echo, no "tunnel sound" effect and it's FREE!

This is the exact part that Honda offers for the 8th gen Accord. I am weary if this kit will work on the Fit.
Regardless, here is some info on the kit from college hills honda.

Lots of trouble and lots of money for essentially a speaker phone!
I'd rather stick w/ my good old cellphone's speakerphone. It has voice dialing too.
It's better to avoid phone conversations for ultimate safety. even w/ handsfree you can still be distracted. I noticed that everytime I am talking (on teh phone or to another passenger) basically my instant takes over the driving part. I often miss exists or the "auto pilot" of my subconsiciou mind automatically takes me toward a frequented location like the office. I guess I am not cut out to be a multi-tasker.

Agreed. For less than $300 more, you can add a DVD player, navi, iPod controls, SD card reader, the list goes on....

Ding ding ding... I'd like them to ban all cell phone comm while driving a car period. Yes, some people can manage it, but many many more are pure idiots while driving and talking on the phone. Yes, there are other things that can cause the same stuff - eating, etc. but they don't occue nearly as often as the phone.

Any word on availability of the HandsFreeLink for the Fit? I called a dealer today, and they (of course) knew nothing about HFL for the Fit. I installed the Honda ambient light kit in my car, and I think I'd like to give the HFL a whirl, too.
My phone is a Treo 750 and my Fit has a manual transmission -- not a good combo in the city! I am always pulling over when I get an important call. I cannot stand driving and holding a phone to my ear, even on the highway.

I have a BlueAnt Supertooth 3 that I use for my speakerphone. It gets plenty LOUD and the battery lasts me at least 2 weeks.

I also have the BlueAnt Supertooth 3, works great and I can move it from vehicle to vehicle as needed. I would prefer it to be integrated into my navi, but this is a good plan B. I'm also not that adventurous about cutting into my headliner, me and clean cuts don't seem to get along...
