Rear wiper panel, body-color

Does anyone else wonder why the small panel under the rear wiper is painted black on the GE8? I guess it's for style, but I don't know what they are visually trying to achieve. I thought it was going to be that way for the Base model, then on the Sport it would be body-colored, but obviously I was wrong. Anyhow I was wondering if anyone planned to have theirs painted. Here's a photoshop I did of the Noblesse Fit:

I think it looks a little cleaner with the color-matched panel. Thoughts and opinions?

Also, it took me a long time to photoshop this, but if anyone can do it more easily (and on a silver American model), I'd love to see it.

It looks good... with the JDM rear Bumper ..... but it might look a little off with the USDM rear bumper since it`s all the same color and might make the rear of the car look to tall????...

anyone else....

i think it breaks it up. makes it look better by adding black to it.
if it was all one color wouldn't look good IMHO

Totally cleaner especially with black lower bumper cowl.
