Dislike (things I should not expect):

* Dealer price gouging
* Horn is quite silly
* A/C is fair; Fan is noisy
* Handling/feel needs some work
* A locking compartment somewhere
* Quarter "feddup windows" too prominent
* Seats don't up/down like Civic
* Fabric a little cheap
* Leather steering wheel feels like plastic

Not bad though, especially if it could be bought at a more normal discount.

There are plenty of other things I wished it had, but these might need another trim level:

* Auto up/down all windows (after baking in the sun)
* Bluetooth connectivity (handsfree laws)
* VSA without NAVI
* Better sounding stereo
* Rear disc brakes
* Outside temp gauge
* Engine temp gauge

On second thought, the brakes and the VSA should have been on the Sport. On most cars, sport means sportier not just heavier.

I agree about the horn - is there any actual reason that small cars have higher horns? Is it cos the horn is smaller or just a style choice from the makers? I am really tempted to rip it out so I don't even have to hear it if i get mad at someone... How easy are they to swap?

Very few dislikes.

1. No XM radio availability.
2. Rear window visibility.
3. A/C.
4. Horn.
5. No tint.

I love the styling (yes, it is a matter of taste) much better than the 08. This is a very remarkable little car. I'm impressed.

You could swap it out for one of those train horns, or an 18-wheeler horn! Wouldn't THAT be funny??

Down here, we hear a lot of horns that play "La Cucaracha." That still makes me laugh, every time.

Other than the wimpy horn I can't think of anything I don't like about the '09 - - for the price, it can't be beat . . . now if it would do 0-60 in under 5 seconds I'd really be happy

No 2009 Honda Fit Sport Hitch Mounts???

What I don't like is that there's apparently no hitch mounts for bike racks...
Anybody know a solution yet?

Third gear automatic is still geared too high. there is no reason for the auto Fit to be geared to 90 mph. 75-80 would be far better because when shifting 2nd to 3rd in usual street operation.the engine won't bog down. Yet will enhance acceleration and hill climbing. Honda must have tested only on flat ground.
And still no rear discs. C'mon, Honda, we ought to get the best.

- The damn silly quarter windows behind the A-pillar. (They throw strange and distracting reflections)

- The fact that a hatchback car comes with no cargo cover and the cargo cover is a $249 dealer option.

- The ridiculously cheap carpet.

- Twitchy steering.

rear drumbrakes
sport should have steering wheel audio controls even without the navi
floor mats should be standard
no outside temp gauge
cargo cover not standard
center console not standard
weak beep beep horn
but other than that, love the 09 fit.

One thing I've never liked is cars with "smiley-face" grills--- ones that look like the car is smiling at you, like a cute little stuffed bear. Mazda is terrible for this and now Honda is following suit with the new Fit, whose smile is more pronounced that that of its predecessor. It makes me want to punch the little bastard right in the grille.

I was thinking about changing my order for the black Sport MT for blue sensation, but I've changed my mind. The black paint will blend in with the smiley grille, making it less obvious.

I didn't realize that the 09 has no "refresh mode". I actually use this configuration in my 07 for every road trip. My five year old sits behind me and my wife sits next to him with her legs on the front passenger seat. I don't have an 09, but I'm thinking of getting my wife one in the future. This wouldn't stop me, but I really like that configuration.

As far as all of the complaints about the horn; C'mon. Rip out the factory one, and install some air horns. I had some in my little 91 NX2000. People freaked out everytime I hit the horn. They thought an 18 wheeler was coming.

VSA should be standard on ALL Honda models including the Fit. VSA simply saves lives and is a requirement on ALL us automobiles in 2012. Shame on Honda for only giving VSA on the sport with Navi.

The horn is whimpy.

Bluetooth radio. I believe it is on the Civic with navi.

Carpet is cheep.

Who wouldn't want more power but I value my MPGs more!

I Have Only One Complaint Considering It is A "Low Budget" Car

Wish they placed volume control on the steering wheel without the worthless navigation.
I am disabled with a bad right hand (but I still refuse to drive an AT!) and adjusting the stereo can be a hassle.
Other than that, considering the price range and the reasons why Honda built such a car (it's not made to race, it's not made to 4 wheel, it's not made for 0-60 times etc.) I can't find a single complaint. Hell, what do you expect for that price?????? Audi quality? BMW M5 performance? It's a lousy economy car for Gods sake! What differentiates the Honda Fit from all other econoboxes is the handling and the manual transmission. I truly get a sports car feeling when driving this economical, inexpensive and fairly ugly little car!

1. Need a map light between the two sun visors. One dome light isn't bright enough to light the whole car.

2. The front head rests are a bit too far forward. Safer, yes but it's hard to get into a comfy position. It's always there, touching the back of my head.

3. Sometimes I hit my knee on the switch pod on the lower dash when getting out.
