OTD Prices for 09 Fits...
#185
Unlike David McDavid Irving, that tried very hard to sell me lots of stuff. They have a dedicated accessories sales person, actually a fairly attractive brunette. She knew I couldn't care less, so she flew through the option book. Then the F&I guy with all the warranties, and he tried to talk me out of paying cash even though the finance rates weren't great (4.5% APR). But they did beat Bankston and Freeman Honda on price, so I have to give them their due--$18,179.12 out the door including all taxes and fees, 09 Fit Sport A/T with wheel locks, floormats, trunk tray and striping.
I called almost all the dealerships around DFW area.
I guess it is harder to bring sport w/ nav price down because their are a lot fewer of them around.
I did talk to ppl at David McDavid Irving, but their price were 300 higher than Bankston.
I am just very happy to have a new car
It's for my birthday and I just pass my Driver's test.
Got a new job (w/ a lot higher pay) , my licence and and a new car
all in 72 hours
Life is great esp. with FIT

$14,500 is possible with a base MT.
Has anyone noticed that MSRP has come down quite a bit? On the Sport AT, it has dropped from $17,580 to $17,110 (but invoice has gone up). Anyone know why or is it just because they can't sell them as fast any more?

The price has actually gone up, not down, to the tune of $200.
The Fit Sport Auto was $16910 + $670 freight = $17580.
Now it's $17110 + $670 freight = $17780.

silver MT Fit Sport
2009 Silver Sport Mt. I paid $16,387.67 out the door. They also gave me $2540 for my trade in. It was a 1999 Honda Civic Sedan Ex in fair condition (Small dent on drivers side front fender). Not sure if I got hosed or not on trade in but Kelly Blue Book had fair condition as $2100. I checked their website later and they had it retail for $6995. I would not pay more than $4k for it though.

My bet is that the interest rates are lower and your payment period has been extended.

2009 Sport A/T no nav blackberry pearl paint
Utica, NY (upstate) at Carbone Honda
$16910 base
$670 destination
$1188.25 tax (YAY NY)
$12.50 tire fee
$10 inspection fee
$45 reg fee
--------------
$18,835.75 OTD
I didn't haggle them much on the MSRP of the Fit, since I got them to give me $1k for my salvaged 2002 Neon SXT (80k miles) and $3k for my wife's old 2002 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport (115k miles). So take four grand off the OTD and I really paid $14,835.75.
I looked at and drove a Yaris, Versa, Rio5, Soul, Focus and Aveo before going with the Fit, and I gotta say, Carbone Honda pissed me off much, much less than any other dealer. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted for the Fit and the trade-ins, and I only had to tell them to pound sand twice before they agreed to my price. In contrast, I walked out of the Kia dealer three times (all the way out, like, I got in my shit and went home) when trying to haggle over a 2009 Soul Sport - and the third time I didn't go back.

Destination $670
MD Tax 6% $943
Title Reg $222
Processing Fee $100
TOTAL OTD: $17650
Is this any good? Sales person said he might be able to take off another $200 as I was walking out.

Okay I got a ridiculus deal on my Fit because I am an arrogant asshole who makes dealers compete over me like a chew toy...so when I got my Fit it was so new I peeled the plastic off it when it rolled off the car carrier.

OH Tax 6.75% $1128
Doc Fee $250
5 Year Paintless Dent Removal, Lifetime Oil Changes, Lifetime Rust & Engine, Bird and Element Protection $743

TOTAL OTD: $17,000
IMMKE HONDA is baller.

That's not a bad deal, only $30 over invoice. If I were to get a sport MT, I would have aimed for $17,600 OTD, so that's close to what they offered. Would have been a great deal if they took off that additional $200, as long as they don't stick you with any more options or up your finance interest rate in return.
