09 fit no room for boost???

YouTube - 2009 HONDA FIT NEW CAR REVIEW

after watching this youtube vid

the comparisons show that the 09' is a little better
STOCK!!!

hahaha

the part about the engine bay being small and not leaving room for tuners to boost made me think about the aftermarket part availabilities

please discuss

will companies be able to go around that???

jdmchris told me that the jacksons came to the dealership to look at the 09 and they said it looked like it was better built for a supercharger.

You are correct, but doesn't it take a turbo out of the question?

yep this bay definitely lends itself to supercharging more than turbocharging.

Prob have to take the dashboard out to change out the front suspension.

or not. if f.i. applications could fit into the gd3's engine bay, then this one will have similar success.

its not like the gd3's engine bay is as big as an eg civics or anything.

I don't know about using a log manifold, but I'm sure with a bottom mount it would probably work.

It's not about not having the physical space in the bay, it's that, like the 8th Gen Civics, the exhaust headers are physically part of the top end of the motor. You can't just unscrew 5 bolts like the GD3 and pull the headers out. You'd have to have it chopped off and have piping welded to reroute the exhaust to spool the turbo.

I am more interested in individual throttle bodies on these engine to make it more free revving and accentuate the i-vtec on the top end.
