Tick Or Knock
Hey Fitfreaks!
I hope Ya'll doing great and having a great time with your Honda,
I really didn't want this to be my first post but I'm really concerned given that it's my first car and I wanted to see if I didn't get ripped off with my purchase,
So attached below is a Video sample of my Fit's 1.5 l15a7 Engine, I really get annoyed with this tapping/knocking sound, especially from a maker that is known for their efficient products,
So is the sound Unhealthy and maybe there's shaved bearing or it's normal and needs a Valve adjustment??
I tried heavier oil (5W-30) but it didn't seem to help
- I don't know if the previous owner has done any valve adjustments.
-I bought it used with about 80K miles on it.
-well maintained (as per previous owner documents).
The sound is always present and slightly quiet only on cold days and fades in for a short period (until the cold lights go away).
Any responses would be appreciated

Hard to tell if it is loud or not. I would think that you are hearing the injectors.
Never use thicker oil in newer engines. Should be 0W20 for the Fit. Oil passages are smaller on newer cars, and if you want oil to get everywhere, it must be quite liquid.
Also, at the mileage, I would replace the plugs (at least check them and torque to updated torque if not) and do a valve adjustment.
We'll see what others will say.
