Hot honda fit

Does anyone have any idea how hard it would be for shade tree mechanic to replace a head gasket on a 2008 Honda Fit I seem to have gotten it hot last night and it hasn't been right since. It's trying to die at intersections and just doesn't run right, plus a loss of what little power it had... any advice?

You may have 20 reasons for the symptoms and dozens of different combinations there of, with dozens of different consequence scenarios.
You have to start with proper diagnosis... compression check, leak down test, pressurize the cooling system, etc...
If the damage to the engine is done as a result of overheating (btw why did it overheat in the first place), then you may have also warped the cylinder head and just replacing the head gasket is not enough.

Sounds like you need to take your car to a mechanic.

Always good advice to start with in this situation. I second this notion.
