Exclamation 2009 Fit FOB Alarm Issue

Hi Everyone!

I am not a car person so I'm hoping someone can help me. Tonight the battery on my FOB died while I was out shopping. When I opened my door manually with the key the alarm would not stop going off and when it would, it would not allow me to start the car. After about 40 minutes of freaking out, I was finally able to get it to start (not sure how). Is there a way for me to disconnect the alarm so I don't have this problem again and just use my key manually? If so, how? Thank you for your help!

All you have to do is insert the key into the ignition and start the car. Then it'll stop beeping.
