P2422 How to check for blockage
I am getting the P2422. I've done some research and looked at the Honda service manual.
I have a bluedriver ODB tool, but nothing else. The manual says to check the FTP sensor, which I can't do. Ignoring that, if I follow the steps and assume certain results, I get to the part on inspecting the EVAP canister vent shut valve. I also can't do that part without the HDS.
My question is how do people without an HDS test the shut valve? How do you clean it out if it seams clogged? Should I just buy another shut valve or is it most likely fixable by cleaning it out?
It seems a lot of Hondas have a common issue where the shut valve gets clogged (but never read that it was common in the fit, just other honda cars)
Thanks.
