Daughter drove home on steely! Rear flat - how many miles ???? UGGH! Her car!
3 other 175/65 15 tires got good meat.
But- I ain’t putting a tire on that wheel & Like buying 4. 2 maybe-never 1.
So she wants to buy wheels and tires with $300.
OMG!
It’s her 2nd car and doesn’t like it...but won’t let me have my way with for her.
I say used 17” wheels-I will make a beautiful black (wants black wheels and car Nardo gray)

I bought my kid a used 2013 Fit Sport in the summer of 2016. It's been a great car and it's well appreciated, but the once lovely stock wheels have been curbed many times and multiple parking lot dings and luggage scratches on the back bumper are increasingly evident. I used to cringe at each, but I'm powerless to prevent them and have learned to accept it all. I have my own car to baby and enjoy.

Hahaha
I was mostly venting!
We will never sell the car. Inherited it from a friend after cancer took her way to soon.
I enjoy wrenching and modifying!
I am going with used 17” wheels.
Found a set for with 215/45 tyres we’ll see how much fender work it needs.
Then we’ll see. coil overs?
if i have my way... 3-4” lift and 30” BFGs
OFF-ROAD BUILD
gonna check these out tonight
BOUGHT THEM-tires are no good
$325 & $20 for lug nuts with lock

OMG-Pissing off my kid makes modifying her cars more fun!
Yuup- I am so wrong!
My daughter is a blessing...4.43 HS grad gpa
UCSD student, she works, never in trouble, no drugs, etc.
For her first car her words “I want a real Jeep, I grew up puking in Jeeps and I want an old Jeep we can build together”
Words that make dads cry!
Until we bought a ‘92 Wrangler 4cyl, 5 speed and do a complete frame off restoration- SOLO- so much for ‘together’.
She of got recruited & accepted to the Univ of Hawaii (& others) so we sold Jeep to my buddy.
COVID cancelled out Hawaii- hence, UCSD.
She inherited the Fit - hates it. Bought herself a Traverse- I hate it - so many issues.Yes, customized it to her dislike. She does however, like the 1500 watts of bump.
Since we have this 2010 Fit with 26k original miles - never to be sold...
I said let’s honor Jefferson Palma and give it an off-road style.
So-i have not convinced her yet. She drove home with a flat on the steely (how far?).
My opportunity - I scored 17x9 ET25 White Diamond 1018 wheels with junk 215/45s that look stupid.
Exploring tire options for stock suspension on 2010 base.
Until the car is mine (30”BFGs 3-4” lift) or I get my way!
Added halo fog lights, LED driving lights and customized the grills and a bit of holographic paint for fun!
So any tips on tire size/brands is much appreciated.
Not afraid of pulling, rolling, attaching flares or even cutting them fenders.
Admittedly, I am a lil bit afraid of my daughter.
What’s a few bruises?

I love playing with cars.
Upgrades done:
Grills, led interior light bulbs, fog & driving lights & wheels...tires are trash.
Next:
tires, sound, interior led light strips, high power USB plugs, tint, paint/wrap, suspension, dual batteries, high(er) output alternator, big 4 upgrade, seats

“that’s something”
That is what one says about an ugly baby!
thanks!
I never go with the flow!
This is the first small car and first set of used (non off-road) aftermarket wheels I have ever bought.
Granted 9 is a bit wide-the jackwagon I got them from was a p.o.s.the wheels were filthy and it was sunset.
None of which really matters- cuz I bought em.
I could not read them (had forgotten my reading glasses) I thought they were 17x7 - I ask he just said yeah that’s what they are- I knew he had no idea... the were off his son’s civic.
They will be perfect after some tlc...
I will have the tire shop try on few different size shoes.
If she won’t let me lift it and stuff 29”-30” BFGs on it- then it’s slam bam- fender roll & pull.
If we don’t like it - then we’ll start over.
I love playing cars!
Any and all advice/constructive criticism is welcomed.
No worries- I don’t expect to Fit in-I’m a rebel.
Now- ya’ll see why my daughter gets pissed!
Unorthodox - yeah but- our vehicles always run & if need be -capable of out running !!!
FYI- my daughter gave my pics a ‘thumbs up’
surprised - me too. Them tires are trash!
STILL HOPING FOR TIRE SIZE & BRAND
& modification recommendations

Flares, absolutely.
Which ones is yet to be determined.
lifted vs lowered
Off- road style vs slammed rice runner style
Jeep type vs pulled/rolled fenders & slim flares.
Yes, Slight rub inner side of tire when making hard turn.
Howa bout some specs & pics of yours.
Boutta getter bumping. Have a system from my ‘72 VW Camper.

mesh
The mesh- OVERKILL !!!
just messing with my daughter!
Won’t be keeping the mesh over the ‘H’ badge.
Gosh-I hope she doesn’t like it- now would’t that spite me?
Ya can’t see the cool pain scheme in the pic- but, it’s holographic paint over black (looks like girly glitter).

Tires
My daughter finally came to her senses.
And want lift the ll dude, 30” AT KOs, off-road steel bumper, roof rack, etc.
So-I got some really good used tires to serve while we search and get all the parts to do it up.
Slapped Kumo ……….235/45 17s in front &
Michelin Sport Pilot ….245/45 17s in rear
(rims are 17x9 ET 25)
Rear is a bumping & rubbing font a lil bit in turns.
Gonna pull them fenders using heat and
the Easton roll technique
Further- gonna push the plastic liners a lil bit
using the Bam Bam technique
heat and rubber mallet.
looking good
