Fixed the shifting problems.

Fixed the shifting problems.
(I made another post on this but it never appeared for some reason)
Two things made a huge difference:
1). Lubed the ball and shifting linkage under the center console cover.
Used Lucas NLGI #2 marine grease with calcium sulfonate and a toothbrush to work it deep into the spring and corners.
White lithium spray for the smaller things.
This completely got rid of the "dry/creeky" feeling.
The gear lever feels buttery now.
2). Glued the gap in the transmission motor mount.
I applied 3M WindowWeld, after cleaning and drying it. Also filled in the gap on the two rubber side covers. Let it cure for at least 16hrs or more.
The only difficult part is getting to that third lower bolt on the motor mount. Last out first in. Not much space in there even for a small ratchet. This is probably more accessible from underneath. Support the trans to take the weight off it first. Use anti-seize and the jack to carefully align it when reinstalling.
Previously, the shifter would move around on it's own. The entire power-train felt like it was was rolling around in front. Which it was.
It would pop out of 1st gear on hard acceleration.
I'd have to wait seconds to shift or try to guess where it goes. Lots of impatient drivers stacked up behind me.
***This fixed everything***
Every gear is now in the exact same location on every single shift.
End result is no extra vibration either which I was expecting. Actually there is probably less.
This one is highly recommended if you have shifting problems.
