I have a screw loose! (2012 Honda Jazz/Fit)
Hi mates, any idea what this screw might be from? I found it in my passenger footwell. (2012 Honda Jazz/Fit I-vtec ES 99 1.3L)
Coincidentally I had the car MOT and Annual Service last week, (Inc pollen filter / brake fluid maintenance) and haven't used it since..
Would they be fiddling with any screws like this perhaps when maintaining the pollen / air filter, and possibly not screwed it back right?
I had a peek behind the bottom glove box and there ARE screws with this symbol in there (3 at least), but couldn't see any obvious missing ones.
Any ideas for where to check would be helpful.

Here's the bit behind my bottom glove box where I spied a few other screws with the same symbol.
Bear in mind I have no idea what I'm looking at. This is my first car and I'm not v mechanically minded with auto stuff.

With your head near the bottom of the seat...you will see them easily. If it is one of those, a socket wrench will take less than a minute to re-attach it.

Hmm, dunno if I'm being a div but I couldn't see any screws at all underneath the seat.
Only saw a couple on the rails at the front / back, but those were just normal ones with no symbol.
Got a couple of pics of the underneath, and the types of seat I have, if it helps.

To see it...you need to pop off the plastic cover over each corner of the seat on the floor...see first pic
If they are all there...you need to look further.
Mine is a 2010, but the fastener looks a little bigger than yours... (I removed one to check) pic#2

Thanks Steve.
Bit weird though that I find the screw in my footwell now, despite having the car almost a year.. Tis why I thought it was something to do with the filter servicing since the screws behind the glove box also have that symbol.
I nipped it down to the garage (who did the service), and they had a look and apparently couldn't find any missing in the obvious spots that they service.
I still need to check those seat bits though. Any idea how to actually lift those plastic covers up? I'm struggling lol. I'm squeezing them and pulling etc and they don't seem to move. Scared of breaking it.

If the place that did your recent service, had no reason to and did not remove either of your seats, I doubt that it's one of those fasteners. The plastic cover would have held it captive if it worked out on it's own.
To remove those plastic covers....working from the front, spread the sides out with your fingers or a screwdriver on both sides of the cover while sliding it ahead. It'll take a little force, but it will pop off. The back sides of the seats are the same, but slide off to the rear.

Ah-ha thankyou, so it takes a bit of wedging and spreading then. Thanks mate.
But yeah I was thinking the same, it would be rolling around inside rather than ending up in the footwell. Hmm...
As mentioned I had a MOT & full annual service with Pollen filter replacement. I was wondering if it somehow ended up in the glove box and then on the floor. First time I've seen it. The only place I can see screws with that symbol is immediately behind the lower glove box, (posted a pic further up in the thread). But I can't see any missing ones, and neither could they. :S
Must not be anything mega to worry about, just a bit weird that it suddenly appears rolling around in the footwell.
