Not getting signal to ac clutch relay, help please!
Hello fellow fit freaks! My 2009 fit is having ac issues! The bearing on the ac clutch pulley was going out so I replaced it along with the clutch/field coil and now the clutch does not engage nor do the fans... I jumped the relay thinking maybe I hooked the coil up wrong but it engages. So I thought maybe the refrigerant was out of spec so I had it professionally evacuated/filled, still no power. Mechanic ran some test,. He jumped the pressure switch ( by the condenser fan) and it did not do anything. He seems to think the problem is that the computer is not grounding out the relay... Any recommendations on what I should try next? Would ac issues throw any codes? Maybe new ac button? Thank you for taking the time to read this
PS. I've tried multiple relays

Suggest taking a look at this video before changing any more parts:
The relay tester that he uses you probably don’t have but there is an Amazon link for them. Also need a test light to verify power.
You mentioned that you had a mechanic evacuate the system and recharged. If the compressor is not running it’s not possible to do that.
After pulling a vacuum some refrigerant can be added but not a full charge. That just not right if that’s what happened for mechanic recharge attempt.
Hope this helps a little.

I agree with FIT09. Every car I have ever charged I had the engine running. After I got some refrigerant in,. the pressure switch kicked in and allowed the compressor to run. I have used a machine and also gauges to recharge vehicles. I prefer using gauges as it is more accurate in the end. I am wondering if he just set the charge using weight or static pressure and never checked the high and low sides while running.

Thank you guys for taking the time and replying to my thread! I checked all the fuses/circuits and all seem ok (I admit not very good with electrical).. the mechanic hooked up machine with a compressor on it that added refrigerant by weight.. do you think I should jump the relay and see what my pressure is on the list side?

Just so I understand, if you push the AC button inside your car the compressor clutch does not engage ? Is that correct ? Sounds like whoever is working on your car connected a reclaim machine to your AC and then after pulling a vacuum tried to charge your system. With all that said the compressor needs to be running ( clutch pulled in) in order to recharge like I had mentioned before. Based on what you are explaining I would find another mechanic. This person is clueless IMO. Sounds like you have an electrical issue or compressor is locked and mechanically failed.
