AT 09 Fit Sport kicking at sub 2000 rpm
Hi everyone,
My fit with 88k miles on it has just started to kick intermittently whenever beneath 2k rpm. This issue occurs usually around 50mph when driving normally, and if I shift into sport and use the paddles I can get the kicks to happen if I keep it under 2k rpm, although I don't think it's the transmission's fault because it still shifts fine - my car just struggles to hold certain speeds. Some days this will happen, and other days it will not so I am really curious as to why that is. My average MPG hasn't changed and I am getting no codes whenever I use a scan tool. I am about to get the oil changed on it but before I do so i'd like to know if anyone else has experienced this and if the two are related.
Thanks for any help!

Warning: this post probably won't help the OP.
Personally, I don't like driving sub-2k RPM. In all gears, when I'm below 2k RPM outside of idling, its a little on the rough side and feels like its struggling.
I feel like the ideal RPM is slightly above 2k. My thought is, below 2k RPM, it's just too infrequent that the car probably is struggling. Each combustion needs to do more work than its designed to. I mean, the engine is designed to reach peak HP at close to 7k RPM. Which means, more revs is better... and conversely, too low is bad. And that threshold for "too low" could be 2k RPM.
But that's just what I think.
