Replacing my speakers + adding an amp/sub.
I wanna replace all four speakers, I know they are 61/2 and 2inches deep.
Any recommendations? I'm willing to spend up to $200 for 4.
Questions:
-Whats a good brand?
-More channels = better? (i.e 3 way is better than 2 way.)
As far as amp goes I want to spend the least while getting the most out of it.
What do I require? Looking not to spend so much on this. >_<
Im looking for a small 10in one subwoofer in the back that wouldn't take up space. Any recommendations?

I like my Polks, but they are heavy on highs/mids. You would need to run a sub. Maybe this will help: http://m.fitfreaks.net/forums/showthread.php?p=1036630

Front speakers;
Audio Savings | MB Quart ONX216 6.5" 2 Way Component Car Stereo Speakers 240 Watts/Pair
Rear speakers;
Audio Savings | MB Quart ONX116 6.5" Inch 200 Watt 2 Way Car Stereo Speakers W/Titanium Tweeters
Both in your budget.
As for an amp, you will have to go above your quoted budget, trying to buy 4 speakers that don't suck and an amp to power them with all the wiring and accessories needed isn't feasible. Unless you are gonna hit a flea market and buy no name brand speakers which won't sound any better than your factory ones.
Decent 5 channel amp to run everything, all 4 speakers and a sub.
Audio Savings | Kenwood eXcelon X700-5 700 Watt 5-Channel Bridgeable Car Audio Amplifier X7005
Now the only thing about adding this amp is that your factory head unit does NOT have RCA outputs, which means you either have to use a line output converter, bad option IMO. Or you need to replace the factory head unit, this is the better option IMO.
Amp kit with a 4 channel RCA; Audio Savings | Cadence WK82 8 Gauge 4 Channel Complete Car Amp Installation Wire Kit, (2) RCA's
The 5th channel RCA; Audio Savings | Tsunami 701-RCA 20' Foot 6 Meter 2-Channel Twisted Pair RCA Cable - Metra
The total at this point is $431.75, with free shipping on all of this.
As for a head unit, you need to decide keep factory or not. If you decide not to then I would look at do you want a double din or a single din unit. You can pick up a nice double din for around $350 for the mildly featured units and upwards of $900 for a top of the line model. Here are two examples;
Pioneer AVH-P2400BT DVD receiver at Crutchfield.com
Pioneer AVH-P8400BH DVD receiver at Crutchfield.com
By ordering your head unit from crutchfield you get all the necessary installation accessories for free, kit/harness/antenna adapter and instructions.
This all may be a bit much so maybe if you are wanting to keep it low budget you might wanna check out a bestbuy/walmart they usually have pioneer speakers pretty cheap. It's all about how good you want it to sound and how much you are wanting to spend. Yes you can get a lot for little but you cannot get good sound for nothing.
