power outlet part number? install in cargo?

I am wondering if anyone was successful in installing a cigarette lighter outlet, similar to the one located above the front cup holders under the stereo. I would love to get the same looking outlet (is there a honda part number?) and is there any room in the plastic molding in the cargo area to install it, I am not concerned with the wiring, I can get power back to it from the front, but I am wondering depth wise of the socket, is there even a place that it could work... I would assume you drummel out a hole and the socket would mount in there.. Just would like to have a plug in available in the trunk area for accessories.

any input is greatly appreciated.

I apologize, I was typing on an ipad, and it likes to auto correct stuff... I fixed it, Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Pull off one of the corner panels in the rear where you would go in for taillight bulbs. I believe there is room in there.

Spelling is improving - now Dremel.

link for parts diagram ---> Honda Automotive Parts

exact parts needed (3 & 4 in diagram)
39620-TA0-003 (cap assembly)
39624-SZ3-L01 (socket assembly)
cap isn't really necessary obviously, but it finishes the look

those are the oem parts we all have already installed from the factory.

There are a few people that have done this, mostly adding the cig/power outlet. I think I also recall one or 2 who have wired an inverter in the rear hatch area as well.

Couldn't find many useful old posts except these 2:

https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...er-outlet.html

I got the JDM cig lighter, and replaced the main acc outlet with that, I plan on installing the OEM acc outlet in the center of the same panel, and adding one more acc outlet in the rear hatch area as well, but haven't had any time this yr for mods.

Good luck, and post up pics when youre done.
