Is there a way to adjust the upper glovebox door?

It appears as though, at least from the driver's perspective, the upper glovebox isn't aligned with the radio bezel and it's bugging me. It will be less obvious when I paint the two pieces piano black but knowing it's not aligned will continue to bug me. Have any of you tried to adjust the way the door sits in the latch?

I've noticed this on mine too....as well as other's in pix they've posted. IMO, it just wasn't designed very well.

I thought my friend had just thrown the alignment off when he closed it on his iphone cable but I guess not! It bugs the hell out of me, my girlfriend thinks I'm crazy for it lol! I will take a look at it and see if I can figure anything out later on this week!

Wow... I find the exact same issue.

The upper glove box does not align with the radio bezel... and it would not take much adjustment to correct it.

It does not annoy me too much, but on my list to have a closer look at one of these days.

The latch cannot be adjusted. It must be done with the hinges. Now, to just figure out how to get to them to see if they can be spaced/ground down.

I wrapped mine in plaid and it doesn't look too bad. I'm sure if you layer the glove box door with a couple extra layers of fabric it might align.

I pulled it apart today. There's no way to adjust it unless you added a stronger spring. That's pretty much the ONLY way I foresee. I think it will be hidden once I paint it piano black.

I've never seen it done before. I did it to my 2010 Mustang that I traded in on the Fit.

I know the console lid comes off very easily. The radio trim will get painted when I do the double-din head unit soon.

I never noticed until after I replaced my stereo. I thought it was something I messed up with the new stereo.
