Thank you so much for the tutorial. I realize several images are missing in the tutorial. Has anybody saved those images earlier and can upload them again? I really want to try this DIY but want to learn all the aspects first before attempting.

Also, I am assuming this will work with 2012 Fit as well since nothing the fit didn't changed much? Thank you so much for the help!

Where to buy the map light parts in Canada

Hi there, does anyone know any other websites that I can get the map light parts for cheap? I'm in Canada and I can't order from parts.com as they don't take international orders or even international credit cards. Thanks in advance.

Try hondaoffife.com in washington state. Their phone number is 1-888-229-2956. This is where I ordered my parts from and I would think they would sell to Canada as well. Good luck.

so been looking a lot into this... trying to do it without cutting into any wire. On the base models there is no plug from the wiring harness up in the headliner... (i hoped there was). I looked up the wiring harness part 32155-TK6-A10 for the sport.

does anyone know if the sport connections at the fuse box have an extra connection for the maplight? or does the wiring harness just split the connections out to the maplight and domelight.

hoping to create a new guide since the first one's images are gone

Judging from this parts diagram (illustration #2) it looks like a lot of work, more than splicing into the wires at the dome light.

From the diagram it looks like the map is just split off from the dome so same as splicing into what it there now.

Anyone use the Fit Sport navi maplight as part of the install?

I want to install the BT35-HON and stick the microphone where the navi microphone is placed but from the Honda parts websites it looks like Honda wants you to buy the microphone assembly and not just the middle plastic peice with the holes.....so it becomes really pricey, I dont think I'd have a use for the Honda mic that comes with this....

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks for the DIY, I completed this mod over the weekend. BTW I used the navi maplight, pricey but hides the mic great.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead... but do any of you know if the 2012 base US Fit comes with the maplight mounting bracket installed? Thanks!

Don't know what you mean by mounting bracket, as what is mounted is the base of the map lights by 2 bolts. There is no mounting bracket per se. Just order the parts as noted in this or other installation chats and you will be fine. All my parts were around $42 or so. I would doubt that base model would come with map lights already mounted; however, it will come with bolt holes to mount the lights. Hope this helps.

I will be doing this install on my base 09 fit sometime this weekend I believe, and will upload everything I get from the "experience", so hopefully my pics will be extensive enough to cover everything.

Edit: Just finished today. Hurry up mods and approve mah post.

Alright, I finished the install, and it went very, very smoothly. Apparently my guide post has to be moderator approved? The install literally looks like it came from the factory that way. A one armed blind monkey could do this install!

Do you mind posting the instructions in this thread?

I absolutely do not mind! However, I uploaded all of the pictures already, but trying to throw them in the thread to be seen seems to trigger some sort of requirement to be moderator approved first.. Which is a pretty big hangup, obviously.
