I'm itching to get some progress on the wiper mod while waiting for a Q connector pin solution, so two possibilities:

A - Finish everything up except the Q connector end - has anyone gotten this far and stopped?
If so, with the new wiper stalk do you still have the same wiper functionality as with the old stalk, i.e. off, on, single delay.

B - Same as A but then try shoving the bare wire into the connector pin hole so it makes some kind of contact with the mating connector pin and hold it there by taping to the other wires. (temp solution until the pin comes)

I would only do B if this is a small signal wire (low current) as opposed to a power wire, which I think it must be since the delay control would be a variable resistor which is either part of an RC timing circuit or is passing a small signal being read by a microprocessor.

I have done option "A" on my car and the wipers still fully function.

Check out Niko's thread ---> https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...t-upgrade.html plenty of pics, and he did several mods/improvements on it (LED, and added another cargo light) Great thread full of info... Big up Niko great job again bro!

Hopefully we will find out the part # of the connector pins for the Q connector, but just in case put me on the list too Niko... I can't wait to get this mod done.

So, I'm trying it - but I'm having a little difficulty getting the white pin retainer separated from the main connector body at the wiper stalk end.
Is there a technique to this? In the photo below mscott already has this done.

Thanks,
Paul

If someone has a micrometer and will measure the dimensions of the pins, we might be able to find the actual part number from Molex here, then possibly source them in reasonable quantities from someone like DigiKey.

and sorry for the people who wanted part #'s.
i have non. these are directly from a vehicle.
when i talked to the service guy he couldn't
find anything. he told me they don't have it
unless you want to buy a harness. so the only
other way to go is after market like SteveInNC
is saying.

NOTE: You won't be able to test the var int wipers in the driveway. You've got to be going over 10mph for them to activate or else it'll go to the default 6sec delay regardless of where it is set.
