Height of Side Moldings?

Does anyone know how high up the OEM side moldings are from the bottom of the bottom of the door? I was debating whether or not to buy some in order to cover up a ding (and protect from future dings!), and it would definitely seal the deal if it did cover the ding. Thanks!

Edit: Forgot to mention that I own a 2010 model.

Not sure how high but this pic of mine will give you some idea. These are OEM ones. There are some others that are much wider and ugly.

Thanks for pic, Blacks3r. It looks like the moldings go right underneath the crease in the doors, which is too low to cover my dent.

Bah! I guess I'll have to think it over some more.

Have you asked a local dealer if they know exactly how high?

That's a great idea, but thanks to Black's picture (beautiful car, by the way!) I know for sure that it won't cover my ding. I do still like the looks of the moldings though...

Thank you.

I doubt if dealer would know. The moldings come with a cardboard template you first tape to side of car to help align them.
