Going turbo

Well after endless searching it seems you need (summitracing.com) CP-Carrillo SC7039, SC7038, or SC7037, depending on your bore size; as well as "K1 Technologies H-Beam Billet Connecting Rods HH5865AAWB4-A"
There do not seem to be any other performance pistons/rods
Together they are $1k *gulp*

This turbo looks about right. I like the idea of OEM-style 'cos replacements are easy to get.

Here was the other one I was thinking. (Generic, not really Nissan.)

2009 Honda Fit 4 Door Hatchback Sport Engine Internals
for pistons and rods
The only thing aftermarket I haven't found for the L15A7 is a crank

Called them, they can source all the parts needed but are not willing to build a L15 and put their name on it! The sleeves are complete cylinder replacements and are made to "have them tiny little engines boosted the heck out of them" so I asked if I put 20 lbs to it and used it as a daily they said it would hold all day and be just fine. The company also doesn't warranty any of the work they do.
As far as needing sleeves these being aluminum blocks are sleeved already, and on youtube theres cars pushing 300+ almost 400 without build lists, if we could get ahold of one of them crazies we might know if a sleeve is even needed for those kind of numbers.
Another question to ask I guess is what kind of power are you looking for?

I am looking for double the HP -- so 230 HP
Do I need forged pistons for this? Or just increase the ring gap?
I read above that better rods are needed. These are cheep compared to the $650 for the forged pistons.
I do want something that will last BTW :-P

If you search out fits in Thailand they are running 400whp on stock sleeves so I wouldn't worry about that.
A cheap alternative to forged pistons is the 2016 civic turbo pistons. The engine is dubbed the L15b7 and has the same piston size as the l15a motors.
Then get some K1 technology rods and you will be good until about 320whp roughly.

that's great info - thanks!
what compression ratio is that piston? (I plan to run 92 octane and an intercooler.)
will I need an air pump to a air tube cat to pass emissions???
all the performance mods I've read about eliminate one cat.... but how do they pass inspection??
(At my testing station there is no "visual" check --- they just want your smog numbers low --- I'm not going to cheat --- I do want *actual* low numbers -- ha ha)

Compression will be around 10:1. Don't have exact numbers since I don't have the cc numbers of that piston.
To pass emissions add a metal cat after the turbo is about the best way to do it.

ok everyone have not been on here in a while but I ordered my AEM fail safe gauge wide band/boost gauge and vibrant 2.5 inch resonator getting it next week and then planning on installing it next week 2.5 inch exhaust turbo back and then when ktuner release's speed density plaining on pushing her up to 7psi. and i got a greedy DT muffler so should sound good. huge shout out to heel toe auto on helping me get all these parts to make this build happen check them out heeltoeauto.com

How are you?
Did you ever get the Dynochart from Church tuning?
If yes, please kindly post it here.
Also some of member here who use K-Tuner with Sprintex had been experiencing some error code lately (check the sprintex thread this past few days).
Did you experience some error code too?
It's colder weather now... any affect on your car and tune?
Thanks
