ok.today i installed HPS SRI.i feel the difference and sounds so nice.but when in sport mode,on heavy paddle, the CEL came.any ideas what should i do? may be not full paddle in 1 st week so the ECU learns ?

Update: i did surf the net and than did 'Idle learn' procedure.it is starting the car after ECU reset and let it idle for 3 minutes.than turn off for 1 min.than again start for 3 minutes.
i did it and the CEL never came back.i drove it like crazy it sport mode but NO CEL
so any one getting CELs from after market intakes (not D.I.Y intakes),do this 'Idle Learn' procedure and you will be fine

failed

the CEL comes again.so it proves that GE8 ECU needs tuning.1st buy any tuning solution than buy addons.
i cheched every connection.they are all tight.
may be because i have hybrid which has CRZ engine.may be i would have ordered CRZ intake....
do other GE8 users have this problem?

More than 400 Km with OEM intake and no CEL. so this confirms that this not for Hybrid versions of GE8.may be after a tune it can be used.

It's a nice sound when you are full throttle, or over about 3,500 rpm. Plus it looks good (not amazing) in the engine. I'll post some pictures soon. I ended up googling coupon codes for the product and bought it for $150 including shipping and the K&N air filter. Took about 1 hour to install.

Can you help me install mines? First time I'm installing anytging on a car and I bought it used for $115 but no manual. Ik you gotta remove the crank case vent hose and the coolant hose from the stock air box but where do I put them on the short ram?

There is no coolant hose on airbox, its on throttle body.leave that as it is.but i think factory bracket holds both crank vent and that coolant hose to throotle body so that why you are confused.i think i used a small hose to directly connect coolant hose.and for crank vent hose there is a place in short ram intake for that

So the crank case vent hose goes onto the sri after its installed. Does the coolant hose go back in the same place on the tb? And did you have to replace any coolant?
