Says the man that's never had nor seen a d16 in action. I'll be starting plans soon. Actual swap will start when life calms down and work dies down in december

You can call us "haters" all you want. The fact is your downgrading or at best making a lateral move in engines. All because you can mod the D16 for cheap? I'm not going to deny that the D16 has real potential to be fast, but to swap it into a Fit seems very very pointless.

Another thing on my mind is why wait untill your warranty is up? If you are seriuse about it, why not get started on it now? There is ZERO info out there for this swap. The sooner you get started the better. It really sounds like your more of a dreamer.

Lastly what are you actual goals from this engine swap? Truboing the L15 you can probable get 200 whp for about $5-6K and doing the K swap you can have 250+ whp for $10-12k. The way I see it you need to be able to do this D16 swap for less then $10k and be able to make 300+ whp for it to be even worth it.

Thanks to constant back and forth with this fellow I'll have to start a new thread once the build begins. Not like anyone will miss it, there's what? One new post in this sub forum a year... Sigh. What I wouldn't give to have a d16 in my fit. The guys on d-series are already going ape**** with excitement.

lol the D-series SUCKS.

And I speak from experience, I suffered through a D16A6 in my EF.

Any swap other than a K into a Fit is just straight up stupid.

D-series = Ultimate brokeass engine.

Make it happen, then start talking. Lots of people come here talking about what they're going to swap in, how much power they're going to make, how rad they're going to make their Fit. Then nothing happens.

Mnfit close this thread. I'm tired of hearing your shit bro. It's nice you think you're entitle to crushing others dreams even though you lack all knowledge on said motor and obviously have swapped nor even looked at a d15/6. Close thread, we are done. I will not respond to your reply. If you REALLY wanna hash this out pm me and can discuss this at length. You're a "super mod" abuse your powers And shut down this thread as you already want to anyway. Bottom line- if I wanna do it, I will. Look forward to eating crow bitches.

Agreed. I know this all too well. I've been the guy grilling ppl with high hopes and crazy dreams. I now what they felt like when ppl downed them. the difference here is ice got LOTS of experience in this motor. My crx ran 13.9's *consistently* it's not a "new" thing to me

Yes, you do.

There are still state/federal laws against swapping an older engine into a new car.
