Finding the right intake for me

Finding the right intake for me
I'm looking for an intake for my GE8
I know anything you bolt onto the L15 isn't gonna give any MAJOR improvement in the power department but every little bit helps, and I'm also interested in the sound that can be achieved in adding an intake also.
I'll start by saying even though I like the brand and the product seems good, I'm going to rule out the Injen CAI. Appears that you need to take the bumper off to install it and maintain the filter, I don't care to be fussed with that.
I also don't really care for the popular K&N or PRM SRI, just leaves way too much open bay area, I am kinda picky like that.
I've been looking a lot at the PowerChamber by Top Fuel, and the Takeda. Obviously that's one extreme to the other as one is around $180 and one is a 2 month wait and around $500. Just can't get over the sweet looks of the PowerChamber. Apart from ThEvilOne is there anyone that can vouch for it's sound, performance, and values worth? (I'm sure he could give an insight on it but he hasn't been online for a few days)
I guess really one of the few solutions that I've come across in which I like the design of and comes in at a not so steep price is the Takeda. If anyone can speak for that or a similar design that works as good or better I'd like some input
Also is it true that the PRM is one of loudest intakes out there? How does it compare to a CAI with a longer pipe.

sri diy w/ hks mushroom-shroom-o-doom. 90* 3in. pipe with 2 size changing couplers from 3in to 2.25?idk cant remember? but the stock mas housing must be used or U WILL get a check engine light. other people try to make them and it just doent work. the stock mas housing is in the top of the air box its only 20$ for a new lid so i think its cheaper then most aftermarket options. just cut it out and shave the sides smoth an u can have an intake for 100~200$ for parts depending on how good ur diy skills are

Go with a K&N drop-in. If you get an exposed filter you'll be cleaning off dirt and re-oiling it every month. Besides, if you're not willing to remove your bumper to route the filter out of the engine bay, you're engine's going to take in hot air. The only thing you will gain with an exposed filter short-ram intake is sound.

bumper = 7-10 snap clips... = easy
but my filter has dirt from my ram and it isnt hot to the touch after driving around... i also didnt take off my bumper to route any of this

i modded my intake in steps... first i had a k&n drop in from the little stand they have with the ping pong ball (its a little fan thingy in most auto parts stores where a ping pong ball floats in a tube) but then i cut out the bottom of the air box and routed my air ram. the car didnt throw a cel. then a few months later i cut out the mas tube and went with a spectre cone filter. the car still didnt throw a cel. but from the 2 styles of intakes i had so far the latter is more powerfull and gas effiicent. although i did cut the bottom out of the air box on my friends auto ge8 and he loves it. says its "alot faster and sounds cool" i used a 8in section of 3in tubing with a 45* bend to suck up air from behind the fog light in his car.

i cannot vouch for any of the products, or even the diy, but it seems u have a pretty good narrow down and know what you want. my input, not that you have to take it, is it comes down to what bragging right you want, what you want your intake to look like, and how much you want to spend.
we have to admit, there's plenty of props to those who have expensive parts which in some sort feeds bragging rights. as you had mentioned, the sri offered for our cars leave quite an unattractive open area in our engine bays, but if it were up to me for looks, i like the carbon fiber of the power chamber. lastly, is the power chamber really worth the $500? idk... that'll have to be decided upon by the previous two decision points and possibly performance output. for me, i do not care too much since i've never been baller enough to buy extravagant parts. i think quality and test products are a must, but they must be affordable in my price range.
